More Anatomy Stuff I Guess
So here's some more anatomy. Sorry I don't have anything more exciting but, you can all live with it I'm sure.
I think I might be able to dig up some stuff from last year's art class. But I lost my sketchbook from last year which kinda sucks. Not only have I lost the art itself, but the chance to use it in a portfolio later on which is sort of kinda really important if I want to get anywhere with this stuff as a career. Maybe I'll cry about it sometime or something... that usually brings stuff back.
Also, thanks for the smarties Elena and Jackie they were tasty-licious. : )

mhm . how long roughly do u spend on one of these? just curious.
i found a really good blog the other day from a guy, uh george pratt, i think his name was and he had an entry that talked about drawing directly from pictures and stuff and different techniques you can use to maintain a 'looseness' in the drawing. bug me about it sometime and i'll give you the link. cause i think some of the techniques he talked about would be really great for studies.
o and i really wanna steal that bridgeman book from you eventually ;)

forgot to mention thats too bad about the lost art, u should seriously try to find that shit. actually i'm not sure where my stuff is. :S
we really need to start keeping together stuff for a portfolio now i guess eh.

you're a tank, phil. holy that smartie thing was incredible. Tara took a bajillion pictures on my camera, so you can look at those sometime if you want.

jonathan: uhmm... I probably spend about 5 - 10 minutes on them each, which is pretty slow. they're actually really fun to do and it really helps quite a bit.
Elena: yeah, I know. it wasn't that great, I bet you could do it if you tried. the worst part was trying to keep them on the outside of my teeth. because I have a terrible gag reflex and if one of those even came near the back-end of my tongue while I was off-guard... well, let's just say I'd be a few smarties lighter anyway.
i still have your book phil. (haha, i spelt that 'fill' then backspaced and wrote 'phil'.) but ya, ill get that back to you soon. and i like the body part of this...reminds me of a linoliam(sppp??) print thing i made in gr.8 or something. do you ever do printing in your spare time? you should give it a try...
hehe, smarties were funny. i think i took like..20 pictures on lanar's camera.
cool sketches. i don't think i could even come close if I tried. it may be that I just don't have the patience. by the way, i think i could do a king size smartie box. but that's just a hunch.
i'd like to see that john! But someone else has to contribute to the cause because those boxes aren't cheap. they aren't expensive either, but whatever. I'm dutch...what can I say?

and to be honest, I forgot about the book... keep it as long as you like, I don't really need it right now, unless you're finished with it. and no, I don't really do any printing in my spare time. I can't afford to do that ;P. If I had the money I'd probably be doing a lot more art and in many different mediums as well. but that's really a terrible excuse.
john: that's okay if you don't think you can sketch very well. but I don't think I could do a king-size box of smarties, you got me beat... my gums are still in pain.
you don't know me but i thought i would just say that your sketches are really impressive to my untrained eye. five minutes?! crazy!!
