Something to say about video games
I had a recent conversation with a friend who feels very strongly about this topic last night. ( ;P )
So... often you'll hear someone making fun of or teasing someone else because they said they like video games. "Oh that's just a stupid waste of time!"... well guess what, you're a stupid waste of time.
Video games are just as much a hobby as anything else, for example (and the one that we thought of) was playing guitar. If someone plays a lot of guitar and has ultimate skill at it, is that person not investing their time into a good hobby? Don't they deserve some respect? Yes you're right, they do deserve respect. It is a great thing to take up and helps with a lot of useful skills, like timing, rythym, etc.
Now, if someone were to tell you that they play a lot of video games why should that be different? It's not necessarily an easy thing to do, it requires though and skill just as much as the next hobby, and in some cases more. It's science that you can actually gain better reaction skills and crap playing video games, and there are definately games out there that will certainly teach you many other useful skills. So stop hating on people who play video games! Unless it's obsessive and it's the only thing you do (that is, if it starts to take presidence over your social life) then gaming is an awesome hobby to have.
I'll gladly admit that I play video games, and there's nothing wrong with it. If any of you haven't, then you suck, but you suck more if you've made fun of anyone for playing video games, be ashamed of yourself and go cry in a box if you have done this.
And I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say who told me to make this post, but thanks for the idea, it's an important thing for everyone to know about and be aware of. :]
So go ahead and tell me your opinions, or if you just wanna say how much gaming rocks then that's cool too.

Idea.
If I can stay consistent with my pocket sketchbook then I'm going to start posting 4 or 5 pages from that every week or something. Either one a day, or all of 'em on saturday. Just to keep things fresh.

Yay!
Yeah, so lately I've found myself running out of crap to keep myself busy with. I wish I had the energy to do a lot of things, productive things. It's really weird, once I get home I have like an hour long drill of stuff to do. Eating, playing guitar for a couple seconds, fighting (playing with) my dog, check out some stuff on the computer...
But then I hit a blank point, where I just stop wherever I am and just sit. Waiting for something to happen even though I know it won't. Not only is it boring, it's a huge waste of time. The worst part of it is, I can do this sometimes for hours... literally just sitting in front of the computer listening to the same 5 or 6 songs over and over again, or whatever I had stuck in my head during the day. One thing I can say is that I get a lot of thinking done while doing this, but to be honest I'm getting sick of thinking stuff through all the time. I wish I could empty my head out or something, there's too much stuff going on up there. If only we could go back to simpler times. When thinking didn't occur, and you just did stuff.
I dunno, maybe I need a psychologist or something. I'm retarded.

Stop this tr-- ... book?
For anyone who thinks they are, or would like to be my best friend you now have some huge competition. I've met my new best friend and his name is the 400 Series Strathmore Sketchbook. I stumbled upon it while buying crappy brushes for art class. There was only one of these left on the shelf and it caught my eye just as someone else had put it down -- yup, it was meant to be. Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you guys. Out.

The Wanderings of Someone's Little Rabbit Friend
Here is most likely what was both the most fun and meaningful assignment to have come out of grade 10 art. Our goal was to make a continual progressive story of pictures ( something like that ) with some sort of theme inside of 4 long strips of paper.
I'm not sure how the idea came to me, but I ended up using this little rabbit guy and titles of Beatles songs/lyrics as the theme for mine. Looking back on it now, I'm pretty happy with it. This was probably also the first full fledged drawing that I ever used my sweet as heck markers on too, it was a good time. It actually took a really long time to scan this thing in and put it together into one piece, so you'll have to forgive me for not being able to get all of the pictures into one continous strip.
Hope you like it.

[Lyrics here]
Led Zeppelin - Swan Song...
The greatest instrumental guitar song ever? I think so.
Sometimes I think that songs with no lyrics are even better, because then you can create your own through the emotion that the song makes you feel as an individual. Also meaning that every person could have different feelings and interpretations of the same song.
Now that I think about it though... Tommy Emmanuel's entire collection of instrumentals may be better. For those of you that know him, you'll understand. For those of you that don't, get a hold of some of his cd's or something somehow. Now.
Also as a sidenote: Thanks to Beth for finding my grade 9 art sketchbook at school. There's actually a huge slot in the back of the art room full of our classes' grade 9 art books, pretty cool to check out people's art, especially when you don't have to ask them. Anyway, I'll probably put some of that stuff up soon so stay frosty.
Out.

More Anatomy Stuff I Guess
So here's some more anatomy. Sorry I don't have anything more exciting but, you can all live with it I'm sure.
I think I might be able to dig up some stuff from last year's art class. But I lost my sketchbook from last year which kinda sucks. Not only have I lost the art itself, but the chance to use it in a portfolio later on which is sort of kinda really important if I want to get anywhere with this stuff as a career. Maybe I'll cry about it sometime or something... that usually brings stuff back.
Also, thanks for the smarties Elena and Jackie they were tasty-licious. : )
